The story revolves around a boy named Bam, whose name means ‘Night’ in Korean. His life has been spent trapped beneath the mysterious Tower, and he has only one friend – a girl named Rachel. When Rachel accidentally enters the Tower, Bam opens the door to let her out. When Rachel leaves, Bam vows to follow her, even if it means going against his wishes. He meets a number of allies on his quest to save his new friend.
The storyline remained similar, though some aspects of the Webtoon were cut out. For instance, Episode 12 adapted Chapter 67, which featured Princess Yuri Jahad. The series also added a few original scenes, such as the one between Rachel and Bam at Hoh’s funeral. This scene, however, made Rachel a more sympathetic character and set up the big twist coming up in the season finale.
