The Japanese manga Dungeon Meshi is set to get its own television anime adaptation from Studio Trigger, the company behind popular anime series such as Kill la Kill, Promare and Cyberpunk Edgerunners. The series began in February 2014 and has since grown into a massively popular franchise. According to This Manga Is Amazing, the manga was the number one favorite of male readers last year. The rating was based on opinions of more than 400 manga experts, including Mat Jones, IGN’s UK social coordinator.
The anime adaptation is an adaptation of a popular fantasy manga series, Delicious in Dungeon. It follows a group of dungeon-crawlers named Falin and Laios, who become adventurers and encounter dragons. Their adventures continue when they learn to cook the food that the monsters eat. Dungeon Meshi has already been translated into over 50 languages, including English.
The upcoming Dungeon Meshi anime is based on the manga series ‘Delicious in Dungeon’ by Ryoko Kui. The manga’s eighth volume is set to be released in 2022. The official website of the series already features a promo video for the anime adaptation. The manga’s creator, Studio Trigger, is also responsible for the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime and SSSS.Dynazenon manga.
Another adaptation of Delicious in Dungeon is based on the popular Japanese manga ‘Delicious in Dungeon’. The plot of ‘Dungeon Meshi’ is a classic fantasy world, where the characters go on expeditions to raid dungeons and find treasure. The treasure is said to lie inside a mysterious golden kingdom hidden deep beneath the earth. Laios, the leader of one of these guilds, is the leader of one of the teams. While trying to find the golden kingdom, he encounters a dragon who eats his sister, Falin. Laios, a half-ling thief, joins two halflings in the dungeon.
