Tasogare Out Focus’ Manga to Get TV Anime Jyanome’s 2023-published BL series will soon receive an anime adaptation, featuring Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Yuma Uchida as Mao Tsuchiya and Hisashi Otomo respectively – respectively announced through Twitter account for series along with commemorative illustration from Janome.
Yuuko Kanoe, who died as a middle school student and has no memory prior to that point, continues to haunt the Old School Building as an indecipherable ghost girl, roaming its maze-like corridors but unable to interact with people as she does so frightens away easily when approaching people to talk with. Soon she meets Teiichi Niiya who recognizes her and attempts to help her.
As they work to unravel Yuuko’s death and solve its seven mysteries, Yuu and Hiroko become closer. Their feelings begin to evolve into something beyond friendship; blurring the line between romantic love and platonic attachment.
Although they make every attempt, they struggle to communicate effectively between one another. Furthermore, they encounter numerous obstacles such as a cursed rock and shadow Yuuko haunting their school; yet if they can overcome these hurdles it might just be possible for them to have a happy ending after all.
Yuuko Kirishima was an honest, respectful young woman who refused to believe in any superstitions or rituals. Due to this attitude, she was murdered by other villagers and her own sister according to a centuries-old legend and then returned as an angry spirit in order to carry out her dying declaration of hate – eventually returning as ghost of revenge in later life.
Since her death nearly 50 years ago, Yuuko has wandered as the ghost of her school building until now. Her appearance is of a beautiful, voluptuous woman that often causes people to faint upon meeting her; yet when people approach to interact with her she tends to turn away, often with an attitude.
She can also be considered something of a fanservice character; being well-built and often depicted undress, as well as tending to express her affections for Teiichi in various forms of fanservice behavior.
Mood Whiplash The story’s pace can sometimes be uneven and its plot can jump quickly between fanservice and comedy to human sacrifice and evil spirits, yet these flaws are easily forgiven due to excellent character design and art.
